This is a unique and exciting opportunity for our island community to experience the beauty of the scenic Kaiwi coastline at a runner’s or walker’s pace. The road is closed from the start line until Hanauma Bay!
COURSE Run & Walk both start at 6:45 a.m.
Starting at Awawamalu (known as Sandy Beach), the course continues around the Kaiwi coastline, passes Halona and Hanauma Bay and finishes at the Hui Nalu Canoe Club on the shores of Maunalua Bay.

Packet pickup at Outback Steakhouse Hawaii Kai, including pupus, wine and beer, on Saturday, Nov 18, 2017, 1-3 p.m. Champagne brunch after the run at Roy’s Hawaii Kai. Military – $5 discount through Nov 18, 2017. Does not apply to keiki, senior, Kula 100 or Hui Nalu entries.
Hui Nalu Club Member – $10 discount. Must have 2017 dues paid in full. Applies to keiki, adult and senior entry fee. Good only through Oct 31, 2017.
Free shuttle service is provided from the Hawaii Kai Park & Ride to the start line from 5:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. Last year’s parking map is available here
We are working on arranging more parking near the shuttle service and finish line.
In addition to an event t-shirt, up to 3,000 entrants receive a commemorative hand-blown glass fishing float. Light refreshments are provided at the end of the race.
Awards will be presented at the finish line on or about 8:15 a.m. Awards are given to the top three overall Men and Women and top three by five-year age divisions from 10 years old and under through 80+ years old. There is a special awards division for the Kaiser High School Senior Class.
