PARKING: Limited parking at Maunalua Bay and Sandy Beach, Street parking as permitted; check posted signs. Hawaii Kai Towne Center Executive Plaza and Costco kindly offer parking to race participants; please depart parking areas by 9:30 a.m. Absolutely no parking in lot serving City Mill, Ross and Burger King.
PORTA POTTIES: Available at the Hawaii Kai Park & Ride, start line and finish. Public restrooms are located at Sandy Beach near shuttle drop-off.
SHUTTLE SERVICE: Free race day shuttle service is provided from the Hawaii Kai Park & Ride to the start line, 4:45 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Buses will accommodate strollers. Limited post-race shuttle service from Maunalua Bay to Sandy Beach, leaving approximately 8:30 a.m.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Expect travel delays, 5:30-8:45 a.m. Road closures are as follows:
TIMING: You must wear your timing chip/tag to be timed. Time is based on pu start.
FINAL RACE INSTRUCTIONS:
- SAFETY FIRST: Stage yourself at the start line appropriate for your pace. If you plan to run/walk slower than a 9-minute mile, please stage behind the fast runners or to the side to allow them a clear path on the highway. They will be gone in less than 20 seconds! Please follow instructions of the start line course marshals.
- STAY ON COURSE: Please stay on the highway or at the lookouts to take photos. DO NOT climb down to beaches or onto rocks anywhere along the course. Please follow instructions of course marshals and police officers. The roads must be reopened at 8:30 a.m. Anyone on the course after 8:30 a.m. must move to the sidewalk and follow all pedestrian rules of the road.
- WATER AND AID: There is one water and medical aid station on the course just after the entrance to the Koko Head Shooting Complex, near mile 2.
- FINISH LINE: The finish line is at Maunalua Bay Beach Park, just Koko Head of the Hawaii Kai Drive entrance to the parking lot. Please use caution when crossing the parking lot, as it will be open to vehicular traffic. Refreshments and awards will be at the Hui Nalu Halau. Please visit the community engagement tents!
T-SHIRT EXCHANGE: Limited to stock on hand, 8:00-8:45 a.m. at the Hui Nalu Halau. A request for a 3XL shirt will incur a $5 charge.
AWARDS CEREMONY: Begins about 8:15 a.m. at the Hui Nalu Halau. Overall and age division awards are presented. Awards will not be mailed.
