KAIWI COAST RUN & WALK - November 15-30, 2021

RACE DAY is Sunday, November 24, 2019, with a sunrise start at 6:45 a.m.

The annual Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk is a community oriented journey of approximately 4-miles along the famous Kaiwi Coast scenic highway on the island of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. It is the only pedestrian race sanctioned for this area. Thanks to over 40 years of community involvement, the land from Hanauma Bay to Makapu‘u is protected from development. The event begins with the sunrise over the Kaiwi Chanel, a Hawaiian oli (chant) and the blowing of the pu (conch shell horn). This year entries are limited to the first 3,000 people to sign up.
The course starts at Awawamalu (known as Sandy Beach), continues around the Kaiwi coastline, passes Halona and Hanauma Bay, goes over the pedestrian overpass at Kalanianaole Highway and Lunalilo Home Road and finishes at the Hui Nalu Canoe Club on the shores of Maunalua Bay. Failure to go over the pedestrian overpass will result in disqualification.
Our permit does not allow bikes, skateboards, rollerblades or roller skates on the course. Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed and welcomed!  Click here for information on bringing your dogs on the course.
At packet pickup you will receive a beautiful commemorative glass fishing float, an event t-shirt,* a goodie bag, and coupons or goodies from local sponsors. Any unsold logo wear (event visors or long sleeve shirts) will also be available to buy at packet pickup.
*We do our best to get you the size t-shirt that you request. However, event shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
At the Finish Line you will be able to enjoy light refreshments, e.g. water, fruit, and cookies. There will also be booths from local non-profits and some of our sponsors.

Order logo wear via online registration form. Prepaid logo wear must be picked up at Packet Pickup by November 23. Any remaining inventory will be sold on Event Day. Click here for details.
