Race Details
The annual Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk is a community oriented journey of approximately 4-miles along the famous Kaiwi Coast scenic highway on the island of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. It is the only pedestrian race sanctioned for this area and limited to 3,000 entrants.

The event begins with the sunrise over the Kaiwi Chanel, a Hawaiian oli (chant) and the blowing of the pu (conch shell horn).
The course starts at Awawamalu (Sandy Beach), continues around the Kaiwi coastline, passes Halona and Hanauma Bay, goes over the pedestrian overpass at Kalanianaole Highway and Lunalilo Home Road and finishes at the Hui Nalu Canoe Club on the shores of Maunalua Bay. Failure to go over the pedestrian overpass will result in disqualification.

Participant Parking
Hawaii Kai Towne Center Executive Plaza and Costco have kindly offered parking to Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk participants.

All participants are asked to be out of the parking lot by 9:30am as a courtesy to Costco and their patrons.

Parking by City Mill, Ross, and Raising Cane's are limited to the first row of the parking lot.

Free Race Shuttle
Pre-race shuttles will run from the Hawaii Kai Park N Ride to the Start Line at Sandy Beach Park from 4:45 to 5:45am.
Post-race there will be one bus heading back to Sandy Beach Park at or around 8:00-8:15am. Listen to announcements on race day for the exact time.

Champagne brunch at Roy’s Hawaii Kai on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Brunch includes: scrambled eggs, bacon, Portuguese sausage, roasted herb potatoes, fruit platter, banana & berry pancakes, Lup Cheong Fried Rice, and Monte Cristos sandwiches, dessert, along with champagne, mimosas, coffee and tea.

At the Finish Line you will be able to enjoy light refreshments, e.g. water, fruit, and cookies. There will also be booths from local non-profits and some of our sponsors.
