The 2020 Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk has been cancelled. Instead, we are holding a Food Collection Drive on Sunday, November 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Koko Marina Center in Hawaiʻi Kai has generously offered us enough space in their parking lot to have a drive-thru collection point set up on the Kalanianaole Highway side of the Center between Texaco and the First Hawaiian Bank building.
The best donations are dry goods like rice, pasta or stuffing mix; canned goods like canned vegetables, canned pumpkin or pumpkin pie filling, soup or tuna; and other non-perishables such as flour and sugar.
You can also make a monetary donation. Hui Nalu Canoe Club will be collecting monetary donations between now and November 30. All donations will be forwarded directly to our beneficiaries. Click here or the DONATE button below to link to our PayPal donation site. Keep your Paypal receipt for your tax records as we are only able to send tax letters to those donating $50 or more. Our beneficiaries will appreciate any amount you are able to contribute.
Who Benefits? Your donations will be shared with two local non-profits—Angel Network Charities in Aina Haina and Hui Malama o Ke Kai in Waimanalo. Both of these organizations have weekly food distribution events, so we know our donations will get out to the community in time for Thanksgiving.
If you would like to be kept up to date, sign up to receive emails from us by clicking here. We use Mad Mimi for our email list, so you will be taken to their website to sign up. After signing up, you will be returned to this page.
For more details on the Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk, go to our Event Details page. We are hoping to be able to hold our next Kaiwi Coast Run on November 21, 2021.
Proceeds from the run benefit Hui Nalu Canoe Club programs and supports the mission of the Ka Iwi Coalition, Livable Hawaii Kai Hui and various East Honolulu non-profit organizations. Hui Nalu Canoe Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Mahalo to some of our awesome major sponsors!
