The Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk has always been a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the scenic Kaiwi coastline at your own pace. It is a community-oriented journey of approximately 4 miles along the coastal highway and is the only pedestrian race sanctioned for this area of O‘ahu. The pandemic made gathering groups of people impossible, so our 2020 event was converted into a food drive to support local non-profits that distribute food to the community. Because of your generosity we were able to donate three truckloads of non-perishable items and over $3,100.
As the pandemic and vaccination efforts unfold, we expect that there may be changes in the rules for gathering. We remain hopeful that a small walking & running event can be held. , If that is not possible, our Kaiwi Team is looking at other options to take the place of a group pedestrian event.
